Ok, from a boating blog perspective gun rights are way off base. However, there is quite a national discussion going on right now. My family has fought in nearly every war this country has had and I value the rights I have under our Constitution. If you are a gun rights advocate and would like to have your voice heard here is an easy way to let your representitives know. Ruger has put this up and I just wanted to help spread the word.

The argument really is about more than just simply gun rights. We that live in this lovely country should remember that the framers of the Constitution and Bill of Rights penned the Second Amendment with a very clear understanding of at least two things; that tyrannical governments can and will always exist and that ONLY private firearms ownership insure all freedoms. In the time since then, thousands have bled and died to preserve this right and we should NEVER allow it to be taken away by ANYONE!
