It’s that time of year again and all boats should get their US Coast Guard safety check.  This is a quick and painless process to get your boat ready for the season.  It’s not a ‘law enforcement’ action and there are no penalties for failing the check.

We had ours done already and it took maybe 15 minutes.  As we do them every year, we know what they’ll want to see so we have everything out.  It’s a great feeling for us to put up our new sticker.  You can get more information about the vessel safety check here.

So I’d like to encourage you to get that free sticker for your boat.  The US Coast Guard vessel safety check is quick, painless, free and easy.   The goal of the VSC is to prevent  safety related accidents.  The boat you save could be yours.
